Your Digital Spring Cleaning Checklist
A quick digital spring cleaning checklist to refresh your inbox, passwords, Instagram, and workspace.
Spring always brings the same urge: clean, reset, refresh.
And honestly? Across industries, I’ve noticed the same theme: people crave more organization and systems that feel less chaotic. (Better communication is also a big part of it… But that’s a blog for another day.)
For now, below is a quick digital spring cleaning checklist you can save, share, or come back to anytime.
Quick tip: Set a timer for 20–30 minutes per section (this is a “do what you can” situation, not a one-day makeover.) A little progress goes a long way, and you’ll feel the reset almost immediately.
—-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
1) Inbox Reset
Your inbox is not a junk drawer. (Even if it’s currently acting like one.)
Delete + unsubscribe sprint
[O] Search “sale” and delete anything you’ll never open
[O] Unsubscribe from brands you don’t engage with
[O] Unsubscribe from companies that email way too often
Take it from me, someone in email marketing: we actually prefer when people unsubscribe. It helps maintain email hygiene, which is basically a “credit score” for email platforms like Mailchimp or Constant Contact.
✅ Unsubscribes = helpful
🚫 Spam reports = a big negative signal
[O] Mark as spam only if a brand ignores your unsubscribe request or seems sketchy
2) Password Refresh
Changing passwords isn’t fun. Neither is two-factor authentication. But both are worth it, even if they feel like “unnecessary evils”.
[O] Update your email password
[O] Update social passwords (Instagram, LinkedIn, etc.)
[O] Enable two-factor authentication where possible
Best practice: update important passwords every 6 months. Stay on top of this by creating a reminder in your phone or calendar.
3) Instagram Clean-Up
Good news: you don’t need to post more. You can simply clean up what’s already there.
Quick IG reset
[O] Update your bio (what you do + who you help)
[O] Check your link in bio
[O] Refresh story highlights (titles, covers, archive outdated content)
[O] Add a few newer stories that better reflect your current vibe
Reminder: Instagram limits story highlight updates (up to 100 per highlight), so don’t feel like you have to overhaul everything in one sitting. Small tweaks still count!
Optional, but satisfying
[O] Pin your top 3 posts
[O] Archive anything that feels off-brand or outdated
4) Workspace Reset (5 minutes)
Your desk doesn’t need to be Pinterest-perfect; just functional and motivating.
[O] Clear out a few things you don’t use
[O] Wipe it down
[O] Add one colorful or joyful item
I personally have an old (and faded) sticker near my keyboard that says “Don’t stop until you’re proud.” Still one of my favorite reminders.

Your Spring Reset Summary (Save or screenshot this!)
[O] Inbox: delete + unsubscribe + protect your email health
[O] Security: update passwords + turn on two-factor
[O] Instagram: refresh highlights + bio + pin your best
[O] Workspace: reset your space with one small upgrade
However you approach this season, I hope your career and mental health flourish right alongside it. More clarity, more momentum, and more room to breathe.
Until next time... Keep explorin’!
